About Me

I have experience of tutoring students in my local area of Banbury as well as online via Teams.

Alongside tutoring, I work as a Study Mentor at my local college aiding students in their GCSEs, BTEC and A-Level courses.

I can tutor students from KS3 and up and work with adults retaking GCSEs years later after leaving school.

I specialise in 1-2-1 tutoring, but offer 2-2-1 and small group sessions for revision in holidays and school breaks.

I also offer a free consultation to get to know a student and see where the gaps in learning are for future sessions!

I aim to help students in understanding their subject, achieve higher graders and reach their potential!

Students I have tutored in Maths and English, as one example, have moved up from grades 2/3 to a passing grade 4, with more achieving beyond that at grade 7s and 8s.

Younger students I work with find they move up sets in their subjects and progress onto harder topics.

Adults I have worked with this year have come into learning again with no grade and have achieved the grade 4 they aimed for, some going beyond that!

I choose not to push students to aim as high as 9 (unless they are completely capable and the grade is within reach) and make sure they feel comfortable with whichever grade they aim for and gain confidence in their abilities. However, I will always try to help students achieve at least a passing grade or 4/5 at GCSE, and a Merit in BTEC.
