Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes! I make sure to keep my enhanced DBS check up to date.
For the subject and level that I tutor at I have the relevant qualifications to tutor.
You can visit my Qualified Tutor profile to see my history and the training I have undertaken to ensure that I am safe, skilled and supported.
I also regularly undertake CPD as well as part of my role as a tutor and as a member of The Tutors Association.
I provide session online via Lessonspace. Please ensure an appropriate adult is in the household during tutoring sessions where possible.
I will provide face-to-face tuition in special circumstances, but a further fee is added to account for travel costs.
I currently offer sessions Monday to Wednesday; from 4pm onwards, but starting no later than 6pm (except for during exam season).
I also offer sessions Thursday and Friday from 3pm to 6pm and in the daytime for home-educated students or international students.
On Saturdays I have sessions available from 10am to 2pm, but this may change dependent on your needs and availability.
Once you have a slot chosen, you can have that reserved for yourself every week so as to avoid irregular sessions. Please note, your sessions do not have to be every week if you cannot do this - I can do multiple session per week with you and I am happy to do sessions every other week also.
I offer tutoring over 43 weeks of the year.
The weeks I am not available for tutoring or ad-hoc sessions are:
- 1 week over the October half-term,
- 2 weeks over Christmas half-term,
- 1 week in the February half-term,
- 1 week in the May half-term
- 4 weeks of the Summer holidays (this is flexible)
This can change dependent on your needs, but I will endeavour to take the above weeks off where I can.
This depends on what you want to get out of tutoring. If you are looking for confidence boost then we can help at any time.
To help with a specific exam, whether it’s the 11+, 13+, or GCSE, the earlier the better.
For example - Students in their final year of school (Year 11) will generally have only 30-40 sessions before their exam (if having one hour per week) whereas starting at the beginning of Year 10 they would have about 70-80 sessions before their exams; more if they have tuition over the summer. A mid-academic year start (January) in Year 11 could only provide 15-20 sessions before the exam!
Don't leave it too late!
For prices, please see my Prices page.
Keep an eye on my social media for offers and sales on bundles and revision sessions!
Payment can be done via online (with Stripe), direct debit, bank transfer or cash - whichever you prefer!
Invoices are sent at the beginning of each month with details on how to pay.
I also have the option of auto-pay where my systems can automatically take payment at the beginning of each month without you having to worry about it each time.
Group sessions can be a less intense way of learning for some students as the focus is spread among a group of similar level students. By working and engaging with tuition as part of a group, progress can sometimes be made faster. Below is a brief comparison of group tuition vs one-to-one tuition:
Group Online Tuition
One-to-One Tuition
I have a maximum of 4 students per group, but they often are run with lower numbers. By keeping the groups small, I can ensure sufficient topic coverage for all students and make sure they understand what was covered.
I have very few spaces left for online tuition so contact me to secure your slot in time for GCSE revision!
